The Coach Bowls Coaching System is the only coaching scheme that is supported by Bowls England, EIBA Ltd,
British Crown Green Bowling Association and ESMBA,.
All coaches should become members of the Coach Bowls Ltd membership package which includes a
comprehensive insurance scheme, reduction in costs of eligible courses and modules through bursaries, regular
updates and communications and access to a personal dashboard, which includes documents and support
relevant to the coaches own level of development.
The Level One Award in Coaching Bowls is a well-established Qualification. It is nationally recognised for
coaches working with beginners and allows coaches to independently deliver sessions as well as coaching
within a club environment.
The Level Two Certificate in Coaching Bowls is a comprehensive, nationally recognised qualification for those
coaches who are working towards developing the performance of bowlers within a competitive environment.
The Level Three Certificate in Coaching Bowls is now available. It is a nationally recognised qualification for
those coaches who are working at the performance level of the sport. and is available through application to
Coach Bowls
There is aa 4 hour 8Safeguarding Officer Training9 module available for all Club Safeguarding Officers.
This is a vital module for all clubs to ensure that their environment is suitable for children and vulnerable
adults Alongside this there is the.3 hour 8Safeguarding Awareness9 module that covers how a club can
be more aware of safeguarding issues of all adult and club members under the age of 18. This module is
for all coaches and club members who are not the Club Safeguarding Officer. These are delivered in an
online format and can be delivered in a 8traditional face to face9 format.
The Coach Bowls Mentoring Bowls Coaches module is a 3-hour module for Qualified coaches hoping
to further develop their own knowledge and skills whilst supporting new coaches through their own training.
It is the first step for many to becoming a part of the Coach Bowls Tutor / Assessor workforce.
Coach Bowls is launching its own bespoke Assessor Training and Tutor Training modules to further support
Qualified coaches who wish to support and develop the training process. This can be accessed via
application to Coach Bowls.
Coach Bowls also delivers annual Continual Professional Development days around the country, to ensure
coaches have the opportunity to develop and improve their knowledge and stay up to date with the latest
developments. These are a must for all coaches.
